Grupo ADI expands in the Spanish specialty chemicals market with acquisition of World Elastomers Trade
Grupo ADI, a multinational company, manufacturer and distributor of chemical specialties, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in World Elastomers Trade S.L.("WET"), a company with more than 25 years of experience in sectors such as CASE, plastics, rubber, films and paper and board. This move represents a key step in the group's expansion strategy, which will increase its turnover by more than EUR 20 million and consolidate its leadership position in the Spanish market.

The integration of Wet S.L. will bolster the group's product and service offering and complement existing business lines. With its valuable contribution in terms of know-how, technical experience and specialised equipment, WET will help generate new business opportunities and improve the competitiveness of Grupo ADI, consolidating its position in the market. The addition of WET also strengthens the international operations of the ADI Group, especially in Latin America, where WET already has a presence. This will not only facilitate the expansion in new markets in the region, but will also generate important synergies with the group's subsidiaries in Portugal, France, Brazil, Morocco and China.
WET's's team of professionals will be fully integrated into ADI Group, providing its experience and knowledge of the sector, which will contribute to a rapid integration of Wet's products and services Wetinto the ADI Group portfolio. This fusion of talent and technology will enable the group to strengthen its capacity for innovation and improve the supply of customized solutions for its customers globally.

Its main activity is the distribution of chemical products to various different industries including agrochemicals, CASE, electroplating, home care, lubricants, personal care and textiles. The Group has a commercial operations in Algeria, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, India, Morocco and Portugal. In addition, Grupo ADI exports to countries worldwide through third-party distributors. In 2023, Group ADI had around 140 employees worldwide.
