Brenntag acquires specialty chemicals distributors PIC and PharmaSpecial, expanding Pharma and Personal Care market presence in Brazil
Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, has acquired PIC Química e Farmacêutica Ltda. (PIC) and PharmaSpecial Especialidades Químicas e Farmacêuticas Ltda. (PharmaSpecial) in Brazil. This acquisition significantly expands the company's position in the growing Life Science market in Brazil. PIC and PharmaSpecial are established, family-owned specialty chemicals distributors, serving large customers and national compounding pharmacies in Pharma, Personal Care and other Life Science industries.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Itapevi, Brazil, the two businesses generated sales of approximately EUR 11 million in 2023. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals and is expected in Q4 of 2024.
