US-based, Shrieve Chemical Company acquires FIS Chemicals in the UK
Shrieve Chemical Company, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital, and a leading global distributor of specialized chemicals serving a broad range of end markets, has acquired FIS Chemicals, a formulator, manufacturer, and distributor of high-performance chemical solutions based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Established in 1980, FIS Chemicals specialises in the formulation, manufacture and distribution of chemical products for customers across a range of industrial sectors including oil & gas, renewables, marine, hospitality and logistics. In 2024, FIS Chemicals had 22 employees and revenues of GBP 22.6 million.
The acquistion expands Shrieve's Energy Products and Services division in Europe extending their product portfolio and deepening their presence in key end markets. The deal is Shrieve's second major European chemicals acquisition, following the purchase of Ireland's Carbon Chemicals Group in 2025.
