Leading global specialty chemicals distributor, Safic-Alcan acquires European Additives
Safic-Alcan, a major distributor of specialty chemicals, has announced it has acquired of 100% of the share capital of European Additives GmbH, a German chemical distributor specialising in the marketing and supply of plastic additives across Europe. European Additives will be integrated in to the well-established Safic-Alcan organisation in Germany, under the management of Dr Matthias Pfaffernoschke.

Established in 2006 by Juergen Wittler and headquartered in Cologne, European Additives supplies antioxidants, UV stabilizers, nucleating agents, flame retardants and associated blends to the plastic industry from local warehouses in German and the Netherlands. The company has long term partnerships with a number of high quality Asian and European suppliers which has helped secure supplies as well as supporting new developments. European Additives has successfully brought innovative solutions to its client base, in particular blends.
Juergen and his team will join Safic-Alcan Deutschland, ensuring continuity for clients and suppliers alike. “We are very much looking forward to have them onboard and continue the success story”, added Dr Matthias Pfaffernoschke, Managing Director of Safic-Alcan Deutschland.
