About Urai s.p.a.
The company was founded in 1948 by our past president with the aim of supplying the Italian chemical industries with innovative raw materials, specialties and laboratory equipments. Since then, Urai has become a reliable partner to many important national and multinational companies.
Acting as an agent and distributor for a wide number of worldwide reputable producers, URAI sells high quality specialty chemicals and laboratory equipment.
Urai has constant contact with existing and potential customers through a team of technical & sales professionals in the north of Italy and local agents in the south, supported by the head office. This deep knowledge of the Italian market enables the company to quickly monitor changes in trends and requirements.
URAI, ISO certified since 1995, obtained in 2018 the ISO 9001:2015 by CERTIQUALITY.
Being sensitive to environmental issues, URAI has also been a member of the Responsible Care program certified by AssICC since 1998 going beyond the normal requirements of Law. The Responsible Care program has established a series of caution with regard to the storage and distribution of chemicals. In addition, in 2001 the program established SET - Emergency Transport Service, which allows to provide all the essential information for effective management of any emergencies caused by traffic accidents or any other cause 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, in real time.
Urai is a member of The LEL Group for Speciality Chemicals and Minerals – The European Alliance of Independent Technical Distribution Specialists.
